Check my kit, try the coachYou can read the notes, but everything gets muddled once your feet join your hands. Running the whole groove faster does not always make the difficulty clearer. Working on a short passage keeps the task precise; then you put the whole groove back together.
Pick the passage that trips you up
In Learn, select the beats you want to work on. You can also adapt the instruments: hands without ghost notes, hands with ghost notes, or feet alone. The full score remains a reference; the work itself covers your selection.

Work out the gestures without a set tempo
Step-by-step mode highlights the instruments to hit together and waits for you to play them. It helps you find the order of strokes and rests without asking you to hold a tempo right away. This mode does not judge dynamics. Sticking indications are for you to watch: MIDI cannot tell which hand hit a given pad.
Without a MIDI kit, reading mode lets you step through the passage, but nothing is counted: reading is not a played attempt.
Listen, then play in time
Listen, then play mode alternates between a played example and your response, at your practice tempo. Start at a comfortable speed and keep the passage short enough to hear what you are changing. Feedback depends on the strikes received and on what your setup can measure.
Pick up your work, then play the groove
Saved work keeps the passage and the method so you can resume later. A suggested next step invites you to move on, but you can also stay where you are. This learning milestone does not prove you have mastered the whole groove.
The âPlay the groove with the metronomeâ button opens the full playing screen, where what you play goes into your practice log. You can play a groove on its own, without a program or a schedule. The guide to reading your timing results then helps you decide what to go back to.
Full practice requires a subscription. To try the tool, check your MIDI kit and use the free trial, which does not open the whole catalog.
